Thank you so much for posting this video. We’re native Californian’s and this was the first time we’ve ever heard of winterizing. Your video was the perfect teacher. Again 1000 thanks!
Actually all of the water will not drain out by gravity. A lot of people will blow the lines empty using compressed air. If you do this be very sure you got all the water out. All it takes to freeze is for a lot of drops to pool together.
Sorry, no. Perhaps the correct terminology would avoid such confusion:
A CAMPER sits in the box of a pick-up truck, and has no wheels of its own. A TRAVEL TRAILER is pulled behind a tow vehicle using a trailer hitch fixed to the rear framework of the tow vehicle. They have their own wheels on single, tandem or triple axles. A FIFTH WHEEL TRAILER has a front section that rides above the rear axle of the tow vehicle, where the fifth wheel hitch is located. It also has its own axles and wheels.
Great video thanks…I’m replacing plumbing in an older travel trailer that I don’t think was ever winterized. What a chore! Everyone that camps should watch this.
Great work. I would like to see an additional video on how to winterize your batteries, closing up the outside of the camper, keeping the mice out etc…
thanks from a first timer, i am green at this and really am thankful that i found this video. i would like to add one thing though, i would like to see more work at teaching the green people like me before your purchase is done rather then sending me out into the wild. i really appreciate you doing this great job..
wow..thanks! My first rv , I had no idea what do do. I put some water in the fresh water tank, dumped a couple of gallons of rv antifreeze in…and pumped it thru. It worked, but I guess your not supposed to mix with water like that…lol.
Excellent. A must view for RV’rs
Great video! Clarity, simplicity and very pleasant walkthrough. Thanks a lot!

WOnderful. Just wondering, what if I drain the water and don’t put antifreeze? Shouldn’t be freezing, right?

Nice, useful video. It’s kind of funny hearing the fellow repeatedly call this travel trailer a “camper” but the information is good.
